The team was tasked to wield the attention of Panasonic’s social media and TV buffs. What better way to do this than to entice them with a chance to win Panasonic’s 42” VIERA Smart TV Weekly? With the #instafood craze going strong, we naturally came up with a strategy to hijack this trend. The best thing was, the audience were already excited about taking pictures of their meals and posting it online. All they had to do was to add the hashtag #myfoodscreen and voila!—they are in the running. Telling this story and tying it up with the prize, we blasted a humorous video representing the antics of consumers and how they can keep on taking #foodgram, but the only real #hashtag they needed was #MyFoodScreen. Thus, this campaign successfully engaged the audience by riding on the wave of current trends.
